The Circle of Life Workshop with Patricia Belyea of Okan Arts

circle of life continues

By Patricia Belyea

LOS OSOS CA  I taught the Circle of Life workshop in California this week. The setting was Sea Pines Resort in Los Osos. From my hotel room I could see Morro Rock, a volcano that hasn’t erupted for 20 million years. Thank heavens!

Instead of golfing, a cadre of enthusiastic quilters played with making circular motifs and inserting them into background grids. For the makers, the motifs signified something meaningful in their lives.

I enjoyed your class so much. I learned a lot about the importance of 1/4" seams, pressing seams, and having fun with creating motifs. I was glad to meet the other quilters and be able to share ideas with them. Sea Pines was a good place to have the class.
You are a terrific teacher.  I hope to sign up for more of your classes in the future.  Thank you for the terrific week. ~ Karen L, Walnut Creek CA
