Make Something New That Combines Two Traditional Quilting Techniques
Creatively combine Stitch & Flip strips with Quilt-As-You-Go to make a new style of quilt.
Join Patricia Belyea as she leads you in a fun way to make a quilt—from piecing strips to making quilted tiles to joining them together with narrow ribbons of fabric.
Continue conceiving and making more quilted tiles to develop an original quilt of your own design.
This immersive experience gives you the freedom to explore new ideas amongst an encouraging band of fellow quilters.
The Venue
The La Conner Inn blends charm with contemporary comforts in the heart of historic La Conner. A few blocks away is the Northwest’s quilt museum in a grand mansion.
A wooden boardwalk winds along the Swinomish Channel, behind the downtown storefronts—perfect for refreshing morning and evening walks.
What’s Included
The Retreat includes a four-day quilt workshop, a Welcome Dinner on Monday evening; healthy lunches and artisan chocolates each workshop day (MON-THU); a Farewell Breakfast Gathering on Friday morning; and ten yards of vintage Japanese yukata cotton (a $180 value).
