SEATTLE WA  Elin Noble generously donated this month’s giveaway. Elin, renowned for her dyed panels and exquisite art quilts, won the 2013 Japan Prize at Quilt National.

The two-part prize is a piece of luscious cotton dyed using the Japanese itajime shibori technique (25″ x 11″) and a signed copy of her show catalog for Vox Stellarum. Elin’s esoteric Vox Stellarum installation opened at La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum last Thursday night.

      Suzanne, I don’t think Elin’s making fabric for sale these days. That was something she focused on a few years ago. Currently Elin is teaching and creating art installations.

  43. I have bought a few pieces of Elin’s fabrics over the years. So far , I’ve only petted them. I now have the time to do something wonderful with them – as in stitch them to death with some hand-dyed threads. I don’t think you can have too much of such beautiful artistry. Bring it on.
