SEATTLE WA My niece Sarah committed herself to making her Christmas presents this year. This included knitting a scarf, cooking up GF granola bars that completely mimicked Kind Bars, concocting tea blends, mixing up body scrubs and bath salts, and sewing bow ties for all the men in the family—plus her unboyfriend.
The bow tie project started a few nights before Christmas, with Sarah visiting Okan Arts Shop to cut and sew her gifts. She had two false starts and a series of mini-hurdles while making four delightful bow ties out of classic men’s yukata cottons.
The sight of our beloved men dressed in bow ties for Christmas dinner reigns as the iconic memory of the holiday.
