our promise to you
If only one person signs up for the Workshop, it’s still a go. Patricia Belyea loves to teach and does not cancel published workshops. If you want to learn from her, Patricia wants to teach you!
Design a series of complex curves and insert them into a gridded background.
And make a quilt top that is completely flat!
Note: the grid lines do not jog as the curves cross through straight seams.
about the workshop leader
Patricia Belyea, co-owner of Okan Arts, is a Seattle-based quilt maker, teacher, and importer of vintage Japanese textiles. She has spoken and taught throughout the US and Canada, and in the UK and New Zealand.
Patricia’s love affair with quilting began in 2007 when she met machine quilting pioneer Maurine Noble. Her book, East-Meets-West Quilts, released in October 2017. (Abrams NYC)
Patricia has been exploring the possibilities of inserting curves into gridded backgrounds. Her goal is to make 21 quilts in a series to see how far she can go with this idea.
