Winter 2019 Session of The Joe Retreat 

Retreat includes five nights at  Harmony Hill Retreat Center
on the Hood Canal, WA; 
four quilting retreat days;
and daily 
breakfast, lunch, dinner and an afternoon chocolate
treat, including 
a Welcome Dinner and a Farewell Breakfast.
The  Retreat includes evening programs.

Travel to and from the Retreat venue and personal expenses are not included.

Retreat Cost: $1,495 per participant, double occupancy.

Sewing Machine Rental

A Sewing Machine Rental includes a sewing machine, two bobbins, a task light, and a small cutting mat. The cost is $50, payable at the end of the Retreat.

Travel Insurance

Baggage, accident, medical and trip cancellation/interruption insurance
is recommended. Okan Arts cannot be responsible for extra expenses
due to delays and changes in your itinerary for reasons beyond its control.

Financial Terms

A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to secure a Retreat space.

The remaining $1,245 payment is due sixty days before the Workshop
start date. (You will receive a PayPal invoice ten days before the final 
payment is due.)

All cancellations received are refunded per the terms and schedule below.
-Cancel Retreat booking 61 days before the Retreat start date |  $250 deposit forfeited.
-Cancel Retreat booking between 60 and 31 days before the Retreat start date  |  50% of Retreat cost forfeited.
-Cancel Retreat booking 30 days or less before the Retreat start date  | 100% of Retreat cost forfeited.

Cancellation insurance is additional.

If you are unable to attend, your Retreat place is transferable to another person. Please advise Okan Arts if you want to transfer your place.

Release of Liability and Assumption of All Risk

Responsibility: Okan Arts, its retreat centers and/or suppliers of services cannot accept any responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in travel schedules or other causes. All such losses or expenses will be the responsibility of the Retreat participant.   

The right is reserved to make minor adjustments to the Retreat plan and the right is reserved to cancel the Retreat. The submission of this Participant Contract shall be deemed consent of the above conditions.

Disclosure: I am aware that during my participation of the Retreat, certain risks or dangers may arise, including, but not limited to, the hazards of traveling to the Retreat location, forces of nature, an accident, or the onset of illness. Also I am aware and clearly understand that Okan Arts will not have liability regarding provision of medical care, the speed of evacuation, or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered.

I understand that Okan Arts will use its best efforts to ensure that all adequate measures will be taken to avoid such occurrences. By submitting the Participant Contract, I am VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THESE ACTIVITIES WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGERS INVOLVED AND HEREBY AGREE TO ACCEPT ANY RISKS. As lawful consideration for the agreement with Okan Arts to participate in this Retreat, I hereby agree that I will not make any claim against Okan Arts and its owners for all claims, actions and demands that I have for bodily injury, death, or property damage arising from my participation in this Retreat. Electronic submission of the Participant Contract will serve as my Release of Liability and Assumption of All Risk Agreement. This agreement is binding on my heirs, legal representatives, and assigns. If any portion is unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force.

I have read the terms which are applicable to the 2019 Okan Arts Retreats concerning payment, liability, and cancellation, and I agree to the terms and conditions. I agree that any segment(s) of the Retreat which I miss, including meals, evening programs, and overnight accommodations is(are) not refundable unless covered and reimbursed by appropriate travel insurance purchased separately. I understand that the submission of this contract advises Okan Arts of my agreement to the terms set herein.

A Few Final Words

Okan Arts hosts retreats with congenial, mature adults. If for any reason, the Retreat leaders feel that any participant(s) is(are) causing a disruption or behaving in an untoward manner, Okan Arts reserves the right to remove any such person(s), at her/his expense, with no redress to Okan Arts.

Space is subject to availability and places are filled on a first-come basis upon receipt of the submitted Participant Contract with the $250 deposit. Retreat program, Retreat leaders and Retreat center arrangements may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
