I would like to win Set 3 – Eclectic + Funky – because I am eclectic and funky and because I would like to the yukata fabric and threads into a small mostly black and white quilt. Thanks! Rachel

  8. Kelley Cunningham says:

I think my quilting personality is kind of schizo actually, but probably retro and funky would be a close second!

  9. Kae Eagling says:

Set One: Retro and funky I think best describes me and my quilting. Because I love that retro look and I just seem to see things out of the box and quirky. I really want to win SET ONE!
    Kae

I consider myself a textile art that makes art quilts. I use a lot of Japanese fabrics in my work. Yukatas are some of my favorites!

  11. Shirley Whitcomb says:

I would love to create something with the Farmhouse Retro Funky fabric and thread set. I am drawn to the colors and designs of the 40s through the 60s. They are so much fun to incorporate in classic designs with a more modern twist.

  12. paulette says:

Eclectic and Arty — because I never know where the quilt will take me. I don’t plan for the finished product, I make decisions as I go along.

  13. Bonnie Popoff says:

Hi…i never thought of myself as retro and funky but
since i was drawn to that color set i guess i might be.
the greyed tones appeal to me and i find that colors
that have that greyed tone are what is in my stash.
I use the Aurifil threads and love the strength and
    non-linting feature of them.

  16. Diane Callahan says:

    Fresh and colorful, love it!

  17. Carolyn says:

Eclectic and arty! How nice than I can be eclectic and arty in my old age instead of weird and strange in my high school years.

  18. Denise Lentini says:

My husbands says I’m Fresh and Colorful- not sure if he means that my comments are “fresh”, but he likes the colors I choose.

  19. definitely Elizabeth Hartman – love those bright thread colors and the graphic large-scaled yukata.

    • Okan Arts says:

Mind-opening to think of the big graphics on the petite Japanese women. The opposite of our “rules”—only big women can wear big prints.

  20. Jackie says:

I think the colors in Set 3 are the most me. But of course I’d love to win anything.

  21. Chris Jurd says:

I’d go for the Retro pack as that’s my preferred style at the moment. Thanks so much for the chance to,win.

  23. Emily Klainberg says:

Would love any one of them. They’re all magnificent

  24. Carol says:

I believe I would best be described as “Retro and Funky”, especially in my more traditional works. Perhaps it’s due to my age? or just a retro, funky state of mind ;o) Thanks for the chance to win this lovely prize.

  25. Linda Andrews says:

Set Two: Fresh and colorful yukata cottons with the Rhoda Ruth thread set by designer Elizabeth Hartman is most like me. Most of my quilts have an Asian element, and I love the rich color in these Yakutia cottons! Now that I’ve had surgery on one of my eyes, I can really see the intensity of color. Thank you for the opportunity to view them, comment, and perhaps use them in my next quilt!

  26. karen bianchini says:

I love the colors in the yakatas number 2 and 3, which appeal to my color sense. I have been wanting to try Aurifil and this would be a great opportunity.

    • Okan Arts says:

thanks for the great giveaways !

  29. Wilma Scott says:

Eclectic and Arty best describes my thinking and my creations. I’ve always been drawn to many different styles and processes when quilting. I love bright colors, but also am frequently awed by quilts pieced in gray, taupe, and shades of white. I find myself creating quilts that fit varied categories, such as art, traditional, modern, wonky, and whimsical. I search out fabrics from around the world. When introduced to Yukata cottons, well, I fell in love.

    • Okan Arts says:

I love working with global fabrics as well. The patterns and textures can lead the whole design of a quilt.

  30. Rhoda says:

I love the fresh & colorful collection and the thread set by Rhoda Ruth because my name is Rhoda & I have a sister named Ruth. 🙂

  31. Robin Shilman says:

Eclectic and Arty would describe me. I am attracted to different styles, different traditions and believe in mixing things up all the time. I also love anything with black in it.

    • Okan Arts says:

Sorry Robin, There’s no black in any of these patterns. The dark one is indigo—the amazing navy blue that the Japanese are so good at dyeing. You would love any of these if you like to mix things up!

  32. Debi Winchester says:

Joyeux Noel! Every day that I can quilt is indeed a Holiday! A joyous day.
I’m a December baby so I love red and green and Pointsettias! Need I say more? I would love any of these wonderful gifts.

  33. Valerie Gleeson says:

They are all fabulous but I consider myself a color person so there you have it!!!

  34. Kim Sherrod says:

I am more on the electic and arty side. I love designing and just creating.

  35. Pam s says:

I love all four of these packages, but the one that probably best describes my style is eclectic and arty. The styles in my stash are all over the place, and I often use unlikely combinations in my quilts. Thanks for this awesome giveaway, and thanks for your lovely blog!

  36. Mary Jo Buckingham says:

My quilt personality Set 3: Eclectic and Arty. My sewing combines textures, colors, prints and stripes, threads and yarns, even handmade papers. My work requires me to color inside the lines whereas sewing and quilting enable me to bring joy to the creative process beyond the “lines.”

  37. Mrs. Plum says:

Set two, Fresh and Colorful, describes my style the best. I love color, especially in quilts. Thanks for the giveaway!

I suspect that set one is the best fit for me. I love chartreuse, and gingham. Thanks for the giveaway.

Set one, retro and funky, for me! I love the yellow, blues and brown checked fabric – gorgeous 🙂

Those cherry blossoms prints are perfect, because my mom is Japanese and I live in the Washington DC area where cherry trees are resplendent each spring. Thank you for the opportunity to find out about these lovely designs from Okan Arts and Aurifil Threads.

    • Okan Arts says:

Great. I just noticed you updated your comment to match the sakura blossom set! (I deleted your previous one.)

How wonderful that you have such a strong connection to Japan and can view the sakura blossoms each spring in DC.

The first set matches my style the best. I often use reds, yellows, and greens.

  53. Janet Frank says:

Set 2 would be for me! The brighter, the better! These are all lovely collections, tho. I’d love to own any of them. Thanks for the chance!

  54. Amanda Carter says:

Set two!! I love color. Bold color. I put many colors as I can into one quilt. I have a strong liking for novelty prints.

  55. Cyndi says:

My favorite is the Sketchbook set. I love the colors & bold lines! Beautiful!

The Every Day is a holiday would be perfect.

  57. Cheryl Dobberstein says:

I am fairly new to Quilting, but have been sewing for many years. I love all the Sets, but prefer Sets 1,2, or 3.

    • Okan Arts says:

Glad you made the switch to quilting. As you have noticed, you don’t have to make the quilt “fit.”

  58. Terri J says:

Fresh and Colorful…yep, that’s me! I love color! The brighter the better.

  59. Tara says:

Have never worked with yukata cottons and would enjoy the opportunity to try. I use and love Aurifil thread. Thank you for this chance to win the giveaway!

  74. Cindy Cripe says:

Set Two: Fresh and Colorful describes my quilting personality because I love to use bold colors in my quilts. I also like the backs of my quilts to be as colorful and interesting as the tops.

    • Okan Arts says:

I’m with you on the backs. I don’t see that side as a throwaway but instead an opportunity to keep the design going.

  75. Linda says:

What a beautiful giveaway. I see a wonderful bag made from one of these combos!

    • Okan Arts says:

You’re so right. Yukata cottons make wonderful bag projects as the patterns are unique and interesting.

    • Okan Arts says:

What wonderful combinations of fabric and thread. Love that Okan Arts.

  91. Peg says:

I am an on again, off again quilter. I get wrapped up in a project; then kind of burn out.

    • Okan Arts says:

Peg, I find the designing of the top to be the most fun. Then the rest of the quilt production seems like a major materials-handling project. I’ve been working on my quilt stitch designs to make the final phase a lot more fulfilling. Best, P.

Eclectic and arty is one of my favorites. I love to create and would create something beautiful with it.

  111. Lise Wilkinson says:

Fresh an colourful best represents me. I am a withdrawn person yet I love life to the fullest. I tend to look at each new day with a fresh look and open my mind to grab all the new perception available to me for now. Defitely colours I would love to have but wouldn’t get myself. The actual idea of a gift.

  112. Kay Henderson says:

Beautiful. I’ve never had a chance to use this thread, but hope I do in the future.

  113. sheila rideout says:

With a weakness for collecting Japanese fabrics, and a tendency towards geometric design and red/black/white combos – I have to be an eclectic and arty type. The yukata cloth really lends itself to the smallish utilitarian zakka designs I love!

  114. Janet Wright says:

Set three really expresses my quilting personality–but then–I love all of your fabrics.

  115. Sandy says:

Ah, they’re all wonderful, of course. Eclectic and arty, I guess I’d have to say if I have to pick just one. : )

I’m drawn to set 3 “eclectic and arty”. I have no idea whether this describes me or not, but I’ll take it!

  120. Nicky Triggs says:

The retro feel and strong colours of set one suit my personality. I like the vibrant designs of the Moda fig tree fabric and Farmhouse threads make me happy.

Oh, set number one, just made me smile. That is my vote, if only choosing one from all the lovelies.

artful and funky! My new direction in quilting. Want to start out-of-the-box designs and color schemes! This would be perfect!

  124. Ree G says:

Love them all but Fresh and Colorful is me all the way.

  125. Donna Cook says:

  126. Nicole says:

Of the four I’d say I’m the eclectic and arty set. B+W goes with everything and I always love bright colours with a neutral. Thanks!

  127. Laura Marston says:

Set two is the one for me I once tried to make a pastel quilt. The resulting quilt was bold, beautiful and BRIGHT!

  128. LynnAnne says:

Sketchbook. I do more planning than accomplishing.

    • Okan Arts says:

LynnAnne, sometimes I feel like I talk about quilting more than I actually quilt. So I get your comment!

  129. Colleen says:

Eclectic and Arty – at least, that’s what I aspire to. For me, quilting is like an extension of using colouring books as a child because you have “rule” and templates, but you can vary them or disregard them.

    • Okan Arts says:

Absolutely. It’s funny how “coloring outside the lines” gives us a sense of rebellion and independence. (That’s sounds like a Fourth of July comment!)

  130. Jacqueline Stauch says:

I see myself as eclectic and arty. I don’t like to follow the rules and I have a free spirit sense of style.

  131. Sue Helling says:

Rhoda ruth is for me. Also lovr sketchbook. Both are bold and bright.

Absolutely. The first step can be so all-consuming and enjoyable as a million creative decisions are made.

  133. Quilting Jeannie Z says:

Eclectic and arty better describes my quilting style. Love the fabrics. However, the Retro and funky better suites my daughter’s style and I’d love to make a quilt for her. Winning either set would be a blast.
I love Yukata cottons and who can ever turn down good thread.
    Thank you so much.

  134. Angela Smith says:

I love the first set. I am always working with bright colors!

  135. renae mills says:

I struggle with being a first time quilter.

    • Okan Arts says:

Renae, I made my first quilt when I was 53. It was no masterpiece but I knew I was a beginner. Be glad you have started on your journey and don’t give up!

  136. Rachaeldaisy says:

I’d like to think I’m retro and funky as well as eclectic and arty! It’s the mix of styles that can be expressed with quilting that keeps me inspired to make more quilts. Yakata cotton and aurifll threads is such a great giveaway, thank you for the chance to win.

  137. Susan Brennand says:

i guess I am a holiday kinda of girl. Our house has been in complete turmoil these past few years so I am determined to have a wonderful holiday this year. I would love to sew up something special.

    • Okan Arts says:

      I get the feeling.
Two years ago I threw together a birthday party for my youngest daughter that was appallingly lame. So last year I really outdid myself to make her feel special.
      Have fun!

  138. Wendy F. says:

I really like the Fresh and Colorful, I think we should all be a little fresher and more colorful!

  139. Mindy says:

Set 2 – fresh and colorful describes my sewing for sure. I’m always looking for ways to add even more color.

  140. Shayla Sharp says:

Probably set #2 is closest—mainly because it is brightest, I don’t think I have more than 5 low volume prints in my whole quilting stash! I buy bright fabrics, and the more color the always better. I like something that pops!

  141. Janie says:

I would be described as fresh and colorful, I love solids intermixed with a pop of color.

  142. Janet Foster says:

Love the look of each of these but eclectic and artsy gets my final vote.
    Nice package with the threadss…Janet

  143. Judy Kelly says:

Luv the fabric and thread. Sooo many possibilities!

  144. Lynn Ehrmantraut says:

Eclectic and funky – would make a great wedding gift for my daughter and her husband – fits their style to a tee!

  145. Gill says:

Set 2 – bright and breezy

  146. Michelle K says:

My quilting personality is “individualized”. I usually create my own patterns; when I try to follow someone else’s, I usually end up modifying it. (I often modify my own, too.) I never really make the same project twice.

  147. Betsy says:

I am going to say eclectic and arty. Love the darker colors.
But I am a little retro still sewing on my mother’s 1950 Singer.

  148. Diane Johnson says:

I am soooo “Set Three”: Eclectic and arty yukata cottons with the Sketchbook thread set designed by Sharon Holland would be a dream come true and just what I need to whip up my next art quilt.

  149. Carole Anderson says:

Yukata is perfect for a vest. I would love to make one out of #4 for Christmas.

  150. Sally Maxwell says:

#1 Retro and funky! What a great combination! Yep, that’s me, a true Gemini. I love the checks and daises and the “Farmhouse” collection of threads has a great selection of warm and cool colors. I hope I win!!!

  151. Lucy B. says:

    Eclectic and arty! That’s me.

  152. Alisa Piar says:

Being new quilting, I have yet to develop my personality. However, my personal style is such that I love the set created by Sharon Holland, the Eclectic and arty cottons with the Sketchbook thread set. Thank you for the opportunity!

  153. Peg Swartzman says:

The set three, Ecletic is most like my own style because I like indigo and black and red. My sister lived in Nigeria for 19 yrs, and I fell I love with the indigo fabrics she brought me. Many of the yukata fabrics combine well with these Nigerian fabrics. Browns and green in the farmhouse set also work well with the African fabrics.

  154. ten b says:

I describe my quilting style as retro & funky – I love retro fabrics in funky quilts and projects. And I love using funky fabrics in retro style quilts. My favorite quilt I’ve made was for a great-great aunt (she made me a quilt when I graduated high school, another when I married & one for each child’s birth – it was time to make her one). It was a mason jar design, with a brown speckled background that reminded me of brown chicken eggs. and each jar was made with a different fruit or vegetable pattern. The fabrics totally did NOT go together in the store. But the finished quilt was freaking awesome.

  155. Chris says:

Probably depends on the time of the day but I would say Fresh and Colorful, Set 2. They are all wonderful.

  156. Ivy Bagnall says:

I’m a cross between retro and funky and eclectic and artsy. Never been one to fit into anything.

  157. Lisa Garber says:

    Fresh and Colorful!!
I see myself as a bright an colorful person…anything to add a little more joy to the gloomy days…

  158. Linda Webster says:

I think Set Four: Every day is a Holiday describes my quilting personality. I always have a Christmas quilting item on the go and each year finish many different Christmas projects. My favourite colour is green and my favourite colour combination is green, red, white and gold.

  159. marta says:

Would love any one of them ,but will go with door # 3…thank you…. marta

  160. Mayumi Colson says:

I like #3. It reminds me of my grandmother, who made a Yukata for me when I was a child in Japan. As a matter of fact, I thought of her and her handmade Japanese cotton Kimonos for summer when I was watching the 4th of July fireworks on TV last night. The fabric and the beautiful delicate and refreshing colors of threads are nice combinations. I would like to make a quilt using them.

  161. Leslie P. says:

I think I would say “retro and funky” describes my quilting personality. Retro because I do like to look back at the beautiful quilts of the past (often by those unknown quiltmakers), and funky because I then like to take that inspiration and change it up, to bring it into the present.

  162. Meriul E. says:

Set #3 jumped out to me! I would love to put that gorgeous fabric and thread into a color-filled wall hanging! All the sets are so beautiful.

  163. Amy L says:

Wow, it’s hard to decide a style since I’m all over the board with my quilts. My friends would call me Retro and Funky, so I’ll go with that, but I love all the yukata cottons pictured.

  164. Mary H. Reed says:

Aurifil has become my favorite thread, for everything! How generous of them and Okan Arts Shop to offer these lovely sets for some lucky people!Retro and Funky is me for sure.

  165. Garen says:

    Set 2 – fresh!!

  166. Cynthia M says:

Retro n Funky to be sure. It just made me smile 🙂

  167. Corky says:

I love all of them but prefer set #1. I love funky, in my home, furniture, quilts and clothes. Funky is a bit quirky, unique and eye-catching, but fun and very practical. Thanks for a great giveaway!

  168. Everyday is a holiday! Set 4 seems to delight me.

  169. Debbie C says:

Set 3 is me (though there is also a little bit retro/funky)
so I would have to say I am eclectic & arty. Back in school, my best subject was art, so I have a degree in boatbuilding! I make costumes, quilts and sometimes still draw. I like Japanese prints and the 1930’s/1940’s music and love the feed/flour sacking fabrics from back then. I would love to win (pick me, pick me). Thanks for the opportunity.

  170. Cindy Chock says:

My style is definitely eclectic. I am a completely non-traditional quilter and love to mix my patterns and fibers. I wait for the fabrics to “speak” to me before I combine them. Would love to win this giveaway. I am addicted to the yukata prints!

  171. Myra Ramos says:

I love them all, but the “eclectic-arty” Yukatas really turn me on! That super-dark blue-black really makes a statement. Bold and dramatic is always my favorite approach to quilting.
And the only thing better than Yukatas is Yukatas plus thread.

  172. Betty says:

Fresh and colorful best describes my personality.I love bright colours and am always looking for a new and exciting project to attempt.

  173. Your website/blog are always delightful!

  174. ALISON Rice says:

    Love the combos.

  175. Cher Merriman says:

Eclectic and Arty would be me. I am drawn to those black and white fabrics with a splash of fun colour and would love to add them to my growing yukata stash.

  176. Sharon says:

Set two, fresh and colorful. I don’t really quilt, instead prefering to design artwear garments. Truthfully any of the sets can offer wonderful oportunities to come up with beautiful garments.

  177. Margaret Witt says:

OHHH, I love Christmas and always love making a new table runner or lap quilt to snuggle under on a frosty day. Th ask for such a lovely giveaway…

  178. giizhigaate says:

This is a whole new world to me. What beautiful thread! It’s Tanabata today! Should we ask? Looking at yukata for 5 year old kimono.Late! She asked for blue, so #2, or #1 for the streamers.

  179. I have an interest in such a variety of things, I must be eclectic and try new things periodically. Hopefully I am arty. At least when I took a design class, I came in with the top design in the final beating out my husband who is a jewelry, enameler, wood and stone carver, etc.

  180. Nina Dilley says:

I love all things Yukata! Have not tried this thread yet but would like to.

  181. Pat says:

I think I am retro and funky, but it is a fun new way to think of my work

  182. Alice Brody says:

Eclectic and Arty is for me. I collect an eclectic range of fabrics, and love to use them in wall pieces and sometimes in appliquéd jackets. I really love authentic Ykatas and have a small collection of them as well.

    • Okan Arts says:

You have the real deal—hand-dyed cotton kimonos? I have just started importing them and they are hand-stitched!

  183. e says:

Retro and Funky that is me to a tee.

  184. Claudette says:

Set #3 is me! Love Yukata cottons. I use only Aurifil, the best! Would love to win. Claudette

  185. Jan says:

Thanks for offering this giveaway opportunity. I love the fabrics! I am artsy; the Sketchbook collection with high contrasts are my favorites!

  186. Sharon M. Wright says:

    Love the Yukata’s
    Love the thread
    Sharon

  187. Hilda says:

I think about possible Christmas gifts to make all year so I think I’d have to say Set four would suit me down to the ground – love the thread colours in this set! thanks for the opportunity 🙂

  188. Patsy Carlson says:

I would love to add one of these to my stash!!

  189. Michelle D says:

Being a child of the ’70s, I am always drawn to Retro and Funky fabric, crafts, décor, and kitchen items. I love using bed linens from that era in my sewing. There’s nothing like bold flowers, stripes, and polka dots!

  190. Ruthanne Lowe says:

I love the holiday set because at any time of year the combination of red and green is one of my favorites and I love the bright splashes of color in the yukatas.

  191. Deb T says:

I am definitely eclectic and arty. My home blends different furniture styles, including different woods within a room – Danish modern teak with Stickley quarter sawn oak. 20’s pottery with modern Japanese pieces. All in the same room. All things I love. All different. Just like me.

  192. Susan Mayer says:

Yukata cottons help you “think outside the box” and let you look at quilting in a refreshing new way!

    • Okan Arts says:

Susan—I couldn’t have said it better. The patterns on yukata cottons really do inspire something new.

  193. Laraine says:

    Would love love love these.

  194. Janet Bahr says:

Retro and Funky! As an aging flower child born to experience the 60’s in Sunny Southern California I am the equivalent of funky retro. I love the fabrics and designs of the years gone by. And Old is New again. Younger people also love the designs and think they are something new. Help keep me young with your Retro and Funky fabric and thread set! Thank you so much!

    • Okan Arts says:

Wow. You were where it was all happening! I was a hippy in the 70s—living up in the Sierras outside Yosemite with no electricity or running water for four years. Those were crazy special times.

  195. Pam Cope says:

Retro & funky please! I love mixing different prints & textures and love the brown gingham with the big flowers.
    Thanks!

    • Okan Arts says:

The brown gingham with flowers is very unusual. The gingham is woven and the flowers are hand-dyed. I have no idea how the Japanese actually made this fabric.

  196. vera schmidt says:

love Yukata cottons . am eclectic as can be. also love special holidays as Christmas

  197. karen b says:

Set Three: Eclectic and arty yukata cottons with the Sketchbook thread set designed by Sharon Holland:

I’ve always been attracted to the offbeat, different and bold whether it’s fabric or people. 🙂

  198. Laura says:

    Hi
I could actually do any of these types of quilts. However, Eclectic and arty would probably describe my style best. I could easily see working with the floral and stripes and putting them back together in some kind of free form piecing, perhaps with curves. Thanks to okan for the fabric and aurifil for the thread. Very generous.

  199. Janet says:

My quilting personality is improvisational….all aspects of that concept,….I like to try different ways of combining fabrics and love playing with scraps….I also love to take clothing apart and cut it up for quilt making….taking fabric and making a quilt out of it that has never been made quite that way before is what I love to do

    • Okan Arts says:

I made my first quilt eight years ago out of clothing because that what I though quilters did! I still like to use clothing in quilts and definitely, like you, make unexpected quilts.

  200. Jane says:

My quilting personality is eclectic because I love all styles of quilting from all eras whether it be Modern quilting, landscape or art quilts to 1930’s reproduction, civil war and other vintage quilts.

  201. Margot Eddy says:

Gosh, each set includes colors I really love, but I think that set one, the Retro and Funky fabrics and threads are the most pleasing.in my current summer mood; they take me back to a childhood summer trip to visit cousins in Indiana, and my grandmother’s ever-so-precise geometric quilts made from feed sacks, of all things!

    • Okan Arts says:

When I was a kid, my mom made bread. Lots of bread for her six kids. She would make us pop tops (remember them?) out of flour sacks. Generally they were over-sized gingham patterns in different colors.

  202. Susie Cooper says:

The Elizabeth Hartman set suits my quilting personality! It is her fresh and quirky perspective that I love, combined with the jewel tones I see in the threads….spells some fun quilting for me!

I always look out for Elizabeth’s newest designs. They are always interesting and fun.

The yukata cottons in this set are very fresh, and I love the thread set paired with this particular yukata.

Thanks for the chance to win these wonderful items!!! Susie Cooper

  203. Lauren C says:

Retro and funky because I want to be!! When I told my stepsons I was trying to be hip, their response was ‘start by never using that word again!”

    • Okan Arts says:

I’ve had my daughters help me with my misuse of modern terms. My worst one was “hooking up” with an old girlfriend.

  204. Karen Owen says:

Just found Okan Arts Shop & then stumbled upon your give away. All of the styles are wonderful; I’d be hard pressed choosing just one set that’s most like me. Understated simplicity one way to describe my style. And love folk art.

    • Okan Arts says:

Karen—Thank you for your order of yukata cottons. These fabrics will take you on a journey outside your regular realm. Have fun!

  205. Nan Beall-Fahlman says:

I just love the eclectic and arty combo. Don’t know why this is so appealing, but the shapes and colors bring back a memory of old passed-along Eastern European linens….?!?

  206. Florence DiJulio says:

Set #4 fits my quilting personality as I experience every day as a holiday since my move to Portland to be closer to my grandson.

  207. shen russo says:

Set 1 makes me smile and think of Spring!

  208. Margo Piikkila says:

Fresh and colourful for me – uplifting and inviting!
thanks for the draw/giveaways – what fun.

    Margo from Victoria

  209. Michelle D says:

If you’ve seen my home furnishings I’m eclectic and arty (so I think!) but anything with the color blue would be a winner for me too!

    • Okan Arts says:

I never used to love blue until I became a Japanophile. Indigo and white are so fresh together that the combo won my heart.

  210. Gale Schwarb says:

set 2 – Fresh & colorful – because I love brights & florals. It’s hard for me to make a quilt that does not include flowers in it somewhere. I have always loved them, and my other passion besides quilting is gardening!
Thanks for the opportunity to win.

  211. Debby says:

It is so hard for me to pick just one. I love so many different looks and I like picking out fabrics that fit the person the item is for. So I am going to do with eclectic and artsy. But they are all really lovely.

  212. Donna Capis says:

They are all beautiful! I especially like the Eclectic & Arty Yukata and thread colors. I have been using Aurifil thread for my quilting for a few years now and really like the results. Your Yukata collection is amazing.

  213. Nan Jorgensen says:

All of these set are terrific, but I am most attracted to sets 2 & 3. That is because I sew pieced clothing, not quilts, which is my own wearable art. I have used fabric from Okan Arts and from Julie Paschkis. I like them because they are unique. As a lover of ethnic textiles and a volunteer docent for BAM, a Fantastic arts, crafts, and design museum, I am also consistently enamored with items that have a story to tell. Ethnic fabric and the textiles that Julie does each have stories from their making. They also can be part of a new combination of fabrics or new compositions that tell new stories. I think that is what creating with textiles should do!

  214. Sheelagh says:

The fabrics and threads in all the sets are beautiful – but #4 with
the yukata cottons with the amazing poinsettias is my
    favourite!

  215. Edlamae Thompson Baird says:

You inspire me to keep working with my stash of Yukata. I just finished a spectacular quilt “Cranes” that I will enter in the county fair. I have 3 more wall hangings in process. I sure could use some more colorful pieces. You are the best. EB

  216. Sid says:

Well, I don’t know if I am really eclectic and arty! But I am drawn to the beautiful colors in this set.
    Thank you for this opportunity!

  217. Susan Zakanycz says:

I like the Fresh and Colorful yukata cottons with Rhonda Ruth thread set by designer Elizabeth Hartman. I like these combinations as I do improvisational quiltmaking and these colors go so neat together.

  218. Becca Jubie says:

Wow, they are all so pretty it’s hard to decide! I love the vintage yukata in set 1 but I would probably pick the Sketchbook thread colors. But I love Elizabeth Hartman’s colors too!

  219. Every day is a holiday best describes my style. Love the thread set with these cottons. They are definitely my color palette! Any day I get to work in my studio is a holiday!

  220. Paula Coleman says:

Set 3 – Electric and Arty is my quilting style. I am always quilting bright and colorful quilts, and/or sewing clothes for my grandchildren. These colors match my sewing room too, “sew” it “seams” I really do need them! Thank you for the giveaway opportunity!

  221. Kathy Henderson says:

I always love reading about your products and getting new ideas.

  222. Karen M. says:

Fresh and colorful. I love to use bright prints and solids.

  223. Marilynn D-R says:

Eclectic and arty I guess would best describe me. I try anything and everything that appeals to me. Always wanting to try new techniques and trying to put my twist on the project. Have to also say I love Christmas all year round; I am a bit funky! ☺️

  224. Martha Isbister says:

    Fresh and Colorful!
Love the colors of both the fabrics and the tread. Wonderful choices.

  225. Judy Brack says:

My quilting style is open, expressive, folorful, simple and will touch your soul just as the Ukata Cottons have touched me in so many ways!
    Judy

  226. Judy Stadler says:

Set 3, “Eclectic and Arty,” best describes my quilting style – no 2 quilts or textiles I make are ever the same. Sometimes, people even have trouble identifying something I have made because I am always interested in trying something new.

    • Okan Arts says:

The infamous Joe Cunningham makes different quilts every time, too. And his quilts hang in museums around the world. See: joethequilter.com!

  227. Brenda Wiseman says:

Well, I’d like to think I’m Eclectic and Arty, but Retro and Funky may be closer to the truth. Still, I’m sticking with Eclectic and Arty, describing my soul if not my physical being!

  228. Janie says:

Eclectic and arty best describes me. I love mixing things up. Great giveaway Thanks!

  229. Marja van de Nes says:

Eclectic and arty, that fits me! I love bright colours, they make me happy. Never understood why winterclothes have such dull colours…

  230. Michelle Park says:

Would <3 to win, but I'm in New Zealand

  231. Gill says:

Set 2 – I love pure, bright colours!

  232. Janice Priest says:

They are all lovely. The Farmhouse thread in the retro and funky one reflects me, because I live on a farm.

  233. carol nelms says:

Set Three: Eclectic and arty is my middle name! I do my own thing, and my husband just smiles. I have been quilting for 25 years and still learning and trying new things. I give my quilts away to family and friends.

  234. Sara Gomez says:

Set three I’m just weird like that

  235. Dawn Hopkins says:

I love French General. I think I should have been born in that time.

  236. Sunny B says:

Call me “fresh and colorful” (#2)… not to mention a huge Elizabeth Hartman fan!

  237. Debbie W. says:

Love all of the collections, but the Rhoda Ruth collection is my favorite as the colors are bright and lively, or Fresh and Colorful!

  238. Kathleen Dalecio says:

The Fresh & Colorful thread set (Elizabeth Hartman) suits me best. I love clear, bright colors in my quilts – like rainbows. Right now, I have a Science Fair quilt on my design wall waiting for the rows to be stitched. Aside from the background, there are 26 different colors & patterns comprising the molecular hexagons!

  239. julia says:

Joyeux Noel, darker colours and the different types of thread, i enjoy a bit of hand work and machine, the darker colors are for my dark side!

  240. Michelle Caplinger says:

Fresh and colorful! I love color and I am always looking for new and inspiring combinations.

  241. Abby Mabe says:

Retro and funky best fits my style. I love the yellow and the white flowers.

  242. Kim Turner says:

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays so I would definately consider myself #4 Where Every Day is A Holiday.

  243. Jay says:

Set 3- neutral colors set a smooth tone, but the occasional pop of color sure brightens life and brings a smile 😉

  244. Karen Evans says:

The last one in the bunch with the red fabric squares. Red is my favorite color so I like to share it with others

  245. Mindy Weaver says:

I would have to say Everyday is a Holiday suits my style. I love to decorator for all holidays. I believe it adds to have items that are unique and specific. And since I am starting to prepare for Christmas…this would be great.

  246. Cari-Ann Kampen says:

    Fresh and colorful is beautiful

  247. Susan Brennand says:

Oh this is so hard to pick just one but I love the holidays so I guess I would say set four because I love to celebrate the holidays with my family

  248. Retro and funky. I inherited a lot of my grandma’s fabric and I really dig the retro prints.

    • Okan Arts says:

Christine—Lucky you. I have a few of grandmother’s quilts with flowers made from cottons of old dresses, appliqued on white.

  249. Martha Simpson says:

Let me see, I definitely see myself as a retro, colorful, arty, and someone who loves Christmas, but thankful for each day. Hard to chose one set….fresh and Colorful, but love them all.

  250. Lorraine says:

I am definitely eclectic and arty. I move with the vibe of the moment – sometimes traditional, sometimes modern, sometimes super colorful, other times sedate, analogous or monochromatic. I don’t do much hand quilting these days – but since I wrote that the mood may strike.

  251. Jean Blythe says:

I’m torn between Fresh and Colorful or Eclectic and Arty. Put me down as Fresh and Colorful! Your fabrics are beautiful! Thanks for a chance to win this lovely giveaway!

    • Okan Arts says:

Jean—Thanks for the vote of appreciation for yukata cottons. They have such different patterns from what’s available in quilt shops so they make very “different” quilts.

  252. Judy Cooper says:

I like them all but would select either 3 or 4.

  253. Janetta Dobler says:

Retro and Funky describes my personality. I like to take the traditional out of the box and create something unique. I also love colors, and am learning to move away from the blue and green and experiment with oranges and other fun colors to make my quilts POP!

    • Okan Arts says:

Janette—Orange and yellow are underused colors in quilting. In fact, fabric companies rarely make collections in those colorways. Yet they bring so much cheer.

  254. carolyn white says:

Set two: Fresh and colorful–when I shop for fabrics, I’m always drawn to the Bold, Happy primary colors. My family and friends tell me I smile all the time, so I guess my personality is Bold and Happy. Love all these threads–any of them would be a treasure to have.

  255. Christine Johnston says:

Fresh and colorful describes my quilting style. I became addicted about two years ago. Quilting and sewing is a great way to freshen up my home and a color as my mood and the seasons change. I love Aurifil, Elizabeth Hartman, and I do not have these cottons in my stash. They are all beautiful.

    • Okan Arts says:

Christine—I was pricked by the poison needle eight years ago and haven’t stopped stitching since then. Welcome to the sisterhood.

  256. While all of the sets are beautiful, Set 2 call out to me. It has a vibrant palette, reminding me of a gorgeous summer day at the beach. It is one of the few places where you will a witness different array of colors and they all seem to work together. The bold colors of Set 2 would fit in very well!

  257. Bev McKnight says:

Set #1 – Retro & Funky… I like the old fashioned looks of the fabrics…

  258. grace thorne says:

i would say fresh and colorful….i LOVE bright colors, love civil war fabrics, love working with solids–the more colors the better….way better than 64 in a box….

  259. Sam P says:

Sketchbook, set 3 is very much me. I am a bit quirky and creative!

  260. Stephanie says:

I love all of these sets but I think ‘Fresh and colorful’ is the one for me!

  262. Lisa Garber says:

Well I love love love Elizabeth Hartmen! And the Rhonda Ruth thread set is to die for! So for me I would say set #2. I am also a Huge Fan of Christmas….but its summertime in Ohio right now, so I dont want to be thinking of a White Chritmas just yet! Haha!

  263. FionaC says:

Great giveaway. Set 2 is the best match for me…full clear colour love it!

  264. Linda Christianson says:

Set four Everyday is a holiday. The colors fit my home and I love to sew for the holiday year around.

  265. JanG says:

The ‘fresh and colourful’ Yukata cotton just looks like so much fun to play with! And the stunning colours of the Rhoda Ruth thread collection remind me of a summer flower garden by the sea. Inspiring..thank you!

  266. Kathy says:

No.2, I’m fairly new to quilting and so I’m not sure what kind of quilter I am yet beside encouraged.

  267. Judy Allen says:

Set 3 is my favorite, although it was difficult to pick. I love to draw and sketch and zentangle. Thanks for the thoughtful giveaways.

  268. Karen in Breezy Point says:
