An Immersive Retreat
Inserting curved elements into your quilt compositions gives you a technique-expanding mastery that changes everything!
In this workshop, you start with the X Exercise Block — inserting a curved X into a patterned fabric. You move to the Centrum Quilt — inserting multiple curves into a gridded background to create a woven effect. Then you finish with the Mirror Quilt— a mind-bending composition that plays with curved shapes and symmetry.
Each exercise challenges you to think creatively as you learn new skills and develop your own designs.
The Venue
La Conner Country Inn blends charm with contemporary comforts in the heart of historic La Conner. A few blocks away is the Northwest’s quilt museum in a grand mansion.
A wooden boardwalk winds along the Swinomish Channel, behind the downtown storefronts—perfect for refreshing morning and evening walks.
What’s Included
The Retreat includes four days of classes, a Welcome Dinner on Sunday evening, catered lunches and artisan chocolates each day (MON-THU), a Farewell Breakfast Gathering on Friday morning, and ten yards of vintage Japanese yukata cotton (a $180 value).

NOTE: This purchase is for the $425 non-refundable deposit.
The Final Payment of $1,200 is due by March 1, 2024.
The deposit is stated as non-refundable. If you cancel and Okan Arts can fill your space, your deposit of $425 will be refunded less $75.
Retreat Contract
Within one day of paying the Deposit, you will receive a Retreat Contract by email. The Retreat Contract needs to be filled out, signed, and returned within one week to complete your registration.
